S38 NSW States Bulletin #4
Sailing Instructions now available!
The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Newport, NSW
|
|
We now have the SIs published for the 2016 S38 OD NSW Championships and an Amendment to the NORs.
The key changes are:
- NOR’s amended to allow Bow Prodders to remain in place for this regatta only (see NOR amendment #1)
- SIs – Timing of Weigh In and Briefing on 5 November and increased max number of races on Saturday to 4 to allow for potential of bad weather on the Sunday.
If you haven’t entered it is not too late. Entries close 28 October 2016! Click the NOR//SI/Entry link below. Note Entry Fee to be paid direct to the S38 OD Class Association. See NOR 6.1.
We appear to be heading to eight committed entries – the best we have had for the NSW States for a number of years!
The regatta will be conducted as a Grade 1 event and in strict compliance with the Sydney 38 One Design Class Rules. So now is the time to get any sails you might want to use that haven’t been measured or registered with a “class button” sorted.See link below to contact Jo Beashel, our Class Administrator. Also you need to get your paper work ready. This includes (refer NOR 5.2):
- Owner Declaration
- Crew and Sail Declaration (note: requires you submit crew ISAF grade – guide to ISAF Grades on RPAYC Regatta site).
See link below to get copies of these forms.
As the regatta will be held within Pittwater (Saturday) and Broken Bay (Sunday) we are able to have the event run as a Category 7 under Australian Sailing Special Regulations Equipment Compliance plus a few extra things – see NOR 4.3 and the last page of the NOR.
